Tuesday lunch!
Today all of our campers enjoyed another great lunch! They had chicken nuggets, breadsticks, and fruit. Here’s a picture of them enjoying lunch.

All of our campers are participating in the same events as yesterday, so I won’t go through them all again, but here are a few pictures of some campers enjoying themselves. We have James Sturgis playing with a hula hoop during concession time. Victoria and Brooklyn playing cards during concession time. Then Donovan Bale drinking out of his basketball water…
After everyone got out of bed and had a chance to wake up, we started our morning with our daily flagpole devotional. This morning, Danny Elkins led us in a study of our daily theme, developing good habits. He talked about three different places in which we need to develop good habits: in the worship service, at home, and…
We thought that everyone was in bed, but apparently some cabins had other plans. Boy Cabins 10 and 11 decided to have themselves a “cabin war” in which they launched water balloons and silly string at each other on the upper sports field. Here’s a picture of the chaos that ensued.
Now that dinner is over, our mystery game has been played, and our wonderful Compadres and floaters have humored us with silly acts, it’s time to say goodnight. The campers are heading back to their cabins to prepare for their nightly devotionals before catching a few hours of shut-eye in preparation for the exciting day ahead tomorrow. Goodnight to…
Tonight the directors had a surprise up their sleeves for all of the campers–a game that has never been played here at MSC before. You start by putting a giant inflatable ball in the middle of the soccer field and have a team start on each end. When the whistle is blown, you must run to the ball and…
After a day without any team standings, it’s time that we announce our top 3 teams. Royal Blue managed to win the sportsmanship award for the day, but sadly it just wasn’t enough points to carry them into the top 3. In third place we have Ice Blue! In second place we have the Purple Pirates! And in first…
Tonight we got to enjoy another wonderful dinner made by our AWESOME kitchen staff. We had lasagna, garlic bread, and apple sauce, yum! In addition to dinner, we also had our first winner of the junior week funny float. The funny float is a root beer float that is given to the camper who wrote down and turned in…
Here’s a quote of the day in a conversation between one of our Compadres, Simon David Harris and a camper named Paul: Simon: “Hey Paul, what sport are you most excited for?” Paul thinks about it for about 30 seconds then replies: “Lunch.”
We continued studying our daily theme of choosing friends wisely by having another Bible study on the subject this afternoon. In this study led by red team captain Jason Dukes, we looked at a few different passages on the subject. We took a few moments to look at 1 Corinthians 15:33 and really stress the importance of choosing good…
