We continued studying our daily theme of choosing friends wisely by having another Bible study on the subject this afternoon. In this study led by red team captain Jason Dukes, we looked at a few different passages on the subject. We took a few moments to look at 1 Corinthians 15:33 and really stress the importance of choosing good friends and why not to choose bad friends. After this, we proceeded to look at the great advantages gained by choosing good friends. In this we looked in Daniel chapter 1 and saw how Daniel gained strength by standing with his friends and doing what God wanted. Then in chapter 2, he was encouraged by friends when he had to go before King Nebuchadnezzar and interpret the dream. Finally, in chapter 3, we see how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand together even when thrown into the fiery furnace, due to serving God.
We really strived to stress the importance of this theme throughout the day because we realize how it is of utmost importance to choose friends wisely in this walk under the sun. If we choose our friends wisely, they will help us not only in things pertaining to this life, but also help us reach our goal of heaven.
Today our female campers studied the same subject taught by kitchen staff member Rachel Lanius.

Jacob, you are doing such a great job with this; I just keep coming back to see what you have added! It’s the next-best-thing to being there!
