Last day

Sadly, today is the day in which we go home. We woke up this morning, showered, then ate our last meal here at MSC Jr. Week. After that, all of our teams divided up and began cleaning up the campground, and as that’s brought to a close, we’re preparing for the closing ceremony.  Which team do you think is…

Pillow fight championship of the world!

Tonight has been, by far, the most exciting night of camp, the night of the pillow fight championship of the world. We had 36 rounds of pure adrenaline leading up the to final match between Cooper Barr and Caleb Cirksena. But before we discuss the final match we must talk about the belching contest. On stage we had a…

Carnival

Today after the obstacle course, our campers all ate sack lunches while staff set up for the carnival in the lower sports field. We had various games set up and when campers won a game, they received tickets that they could then use on some attraction, whether that be the wrecking ball, giant water slide, or human bowling. Tuesday girls study and Tuesday night worship

Sorry, but I realize that I’m a day late in posting this blog. Yesterday afternoon our female campers were led in a Bible study by Silver team captain Carrie Elkins. The study continued to…

Jr. Olympics!

Anyone who has ever been to camp before knows the excitement that comes with Jr. Olympics. What I want to accomplish in this blog post is to go over all the events our campers participated in this morning and give you a run down of the obstacle course. We started out the morning with a 40-yard, then 80-yard dash….

Other staff

Here at MSC, we strive to make sure that credit is given where credit is due, so we want to make sure that we don’t leave anyone out. Here’s a list of all the staff members we haven’t already mentioned and what they do. In our nursing staff, we have Ellen Hunter and Debbie Eaton, and they do an…

Kitchen Staff!

To be honest, without them, we really wouldn’t have camp. Or at least we wouldn’t make it very long before collapsing. We truly couldn’t ask for a better kitchen staff than the one that we have this year. Here are the names of our kitchen staff: Kristie Maudlin Melissa Hosfield Betsy Benson Mary Beth Maudlin Sonya McCauley Rachel Lanius Natalie…

Best one yet

This morning we started out with Fried Rademacher leading us all in a flagpole devotional on keeping good principles. Then we went to eat what has to be the BEST breakfast we have had this week. The campers all enjoyed French toast, eggs, and bacon. Thank you kitchen staff! Yum!
