Compadre Scott Shaffer led our flagpole devotion on this our last day of MSC Jr. Week 2013. He highlighted our theme verse of the week, Luke 18:27 – “And He said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Throughout this week, we’ve learned the importance of having peace in our lives, and the seriousness of the epidemic of bullying–we should not bully, and if we are ever bullied, we should not retaliate, but rather walk away.
We also learned the importance of purity, especially as we live in a social media world. “Oh be careful little eyes what you see, oh be careful little mouth what you say, oh be careful little hands what you do, oh be careful little feet where you go.”
And finally, we learned that we should resist peer pressure from our “friends,” and with God’s help, we can remain strong and faithful until the end.
Although we are mere humans and our possibilities are limited, with God, “IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!”
