At lunch, last year camper Nick Hall gave a small devotion to kick off our week-long theme of “God Fits.” He described how our life is like a pie which is divided among family, friends, work, school, recreation, and God. Although we oftentimes slice our “pie” into all of these many pieces and God is merely one of the pieces of our pie, our entire pie SHOULD be God. We learn in Colossians 3:17 that “whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him,” and verse 23 warns us “whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” We must glorify God in all we do and always give our very best. If we truly love one another and glorify God as He has commanded, others will recognize us as disciples of Christ: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
