For the final flagpole devotion, the Cabin 10 boys discussed things to remember as we all head home from camp and go back into the world. Robbie Clair, Nick Hall, Stephen Harris, Caleb Martin, Brandon Perry, and Jacob Stout offered the following words of wisdom:
1. Keep in touch to stay close and connected to one another. Proverbs 17:17 – “A friend loveth at all times…” Proverbs 27:17 – “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
2. The people we surround ourselves with will affect us, so we must have good Christian friends. I Corinthians 15:33 – “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
3. Pray always. I Thessalonians 5:17 – “Pray without ceasing.” James 5:13-16 – “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
