Camp started off today with lots of activities! Kickball, Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball were on the agenda this morning. Also, here’s a bike tour of the morning sporting events In addition to sports, teams were also participating in crafts. We all are having a great time. More events to come after lunch!
After a big dinner of lasagna, salad and garlic bread (thank you kitchen staff), we went out to the sports field for our first night of team events. Air Raid 2016 had a brand new mud element today as the battle zone was moved to the volleyball court, which had turned into a mud volleyball court thanks to yesterday’s storms. Canoeologists Shannon & Dana Shaffer crafted an exciting canoe obstacle course for today’s canoe heats, along with 30 second penalties for crossing the center line or for not canoeing around the outer buoy. For those of you who have never experienced MSC’s Air Raid competition in person, and a camper has tried to explain it to you and you just didn’t quite understand it, here’s a video so you can witness it yourself to help you understand this popular event. It’s a physically tasking event, but campers love it!
